Schedule for the 2008-2009 Series of Studio Classes is as follows:

Heart and Nine Patch

An introduction to the basics of quilting as you work on a lap size quilt. We will cover rotary cutting, machine piecing, hand applique. hand quilting, binding plus much more. A “must” for beginners.

Sampler Blocks

How do you make your blocks all the same size? How do you use a template? Why do I cut off the points on my stars? Bring your questions and each month we will make three blocks as you build up your repertoire of techniques.

Amish Crossing

A geometric patchwork design taken from an antique quilt. Sew all day as we rotary cut and strip piece. Help will be given through out the day. Also instructions on pressing , borders, batting, binding and quilting.
Bring your lunch . Refreshments will be provided.

Baby Bugs

Use pre-embroidered squares to start this fun quilt. The basics on rotary cutting, sewing, pressing, borders, batting, binding and quilting will be covered.

Owls
	Stitch two wise old owls sitting in the moonlight. Learn the finer points of more intricate hand applique. Three 2 hour classes Friday 7 - 9 pm October 10, 17, 24 Class Cost: $60.00 Pattern Cost: $12.00 *BY, KA

Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam

These are two old time favorites from the 1930's. A number of applique techniques by hand and by machine will be covered. Also learn how to machine quilt each block then assemble. Requires a sewing machine with zig zag and blind stitches.
